Xen Hypervisor:To be or not to be?

I have VMware installed in my Windows system. It works OK in most of the cases. The only thing I am not happy with is that it runs slow. It is acceptable if I am not in hurry.
On July 17, ZDNet had a news "Microsoft gives Linux a virtual hug."http://news.zdnet.com/2100-3513_22-6095158.html After reading this news, I visited its web site http://www.xensource.com/xen/ and downloaded some documents. It sounds great to me. The problem is that I need to rebuild my system or buy a new system. I just have too much stuffs in my current system. No matter I decide to rebuild system or buy a new system, it will take two whole days to do it if luck. :<
